With the evolution of cd’s, ipods, and digital music, the art of the mix tape has died…
so coming across this site brought back some nostalgia…
You can look at the covers of said tapes, and even listen to them. Freaking awesome. It totally reminds me of being young again (not that 31 is old, mind you), but the times when i would sit and make tapes for my girlfriends, and they agony that I would sometimes go through in picking the right songs, without oversteeping my boundaries, or having the indirect meaning, or what have you… then the initial tape, then the re-tape, and the listening over and over to make sure that it’s right, make sure the songs flow in the right way. We’ve all done it. The mix tape would tell your girlfriend everything you wanted to say, but couldn’t…
